Kwikspit is the simplest, lightest, most compact spit in the world! All stainless steel, no nuts & bolts and super Kwik to assemble!

Rotisserie roasting over BBQ briquettes TASTES BETTER. The continual rotation keeps the juices within the meat and self bastes all the way to the end. It also adds a smokey touch to enhance the flavours even more. Once you cook with your Kwikspit, you will never roast in your kitchen oven again.

Half a bag of heatbeads is usually enough for one roast. Using budget BBQ briquettes can produce poor results - we recommend only "Heatbead" brand.

Allow roughly an hour cooking time per kilo, per roast. The amount of heatbeads, wind and roast size will vary cooking times.

One pair of quality alkaline D cell batteries will last at least 10 hours of continuous use. However, always keep a spare set of batteries handy, as they WILL go flat halfway through cooking (they'll never go flat in the bag). If unused for long periods, always remove batteries from the motor to prevent leakage and corrosion.

Inserting the connector into the motor, completely isolates the batteries.

Yes, but NEVER use the 240V AC adapter in the rain – IT IS NOT WATERPROOF!

Yes - it is a compact switched mode power supply, with 3V DC output and a huge 1 Amp capacity. It has short circuit and overload protection and has Australian Electrical Certification.

Leaving the mesh heatbead tray in position during cooking, will maintain higher heat and consume the heatbeads more quickly. Removing the mesh heatbead tray will reduce the air flow, slow the burn and reduce the remperature. Use long tongs to move and arrange heatbeads to suit.

Remove the mesh heatbead tray to lower the heat output. Move heatbeads away from the dripping juices and a splash of water into the tray will keep the flames down. Alternatively, pour a small amount of sand into the tray to soak up the juices. Avoid cheap supermarket roasts a they often have high moisture content - quality butcher roasts are always best.

Initial high heat for pork will get the crackle started and momentarily switching off the motor at the end, will finish it off nicely.

Centrally is best, however set the roast toward the handle end if adding the tumbler basket half way through.

The body will discolour eventually and turn a shade of brown. This is normal for stainless near high heat and will not affect its operation. If desired, a Scotchbrite pad or regular kitchen scourer will bring back the shine in no time!

Washing components in the dishwasher is not recommended. The strong alkaline detergents can damage some parts.
